WAI-MAI HOCKEY CLUB.

The Wai-mai Hockey' Club held a meeting in Opie's rooms last evening, ! when a good attendance of members were present, and from the enthusiasm shown |by those present the club should have a very successful season; The chairman (Mr R. J. Kingsland) outlined the his- | tory of the club from its inception- in 1910, and in his remarks mentioned that twenty old players of tfie club had Been on active service or had returned, three of them making the supreme sacrifice. It was unanimously decided by all pre- ' sent to reorganise the Wai-mai Club, and thirty new members were elected. The club captaincy will be in the capable hands of Mr Alan Findlay, and Mr H. Kidson was elected for secretary and , treasurer. It was decided to hold a j practice match on Saturday, April 7>th, ! providing the grounds are available, | when all players and" new members will ;be welcome. Messrs H. Kidson and R. jW. Thomas were elected delegates to re- ; present the club at the Hockey Association meeting, and the meeting then closed with a hearty vote of thanks to ■ the chairman. i ■
