A French communique says enemy infantry arc inactive north-east of Soissons and the Chemin-des-Daines. but their artillery, "which ours violently countered, bombarded the Cerny, Hurtbise and Craonne sectors..
Grenade skirmishes occurred east of Vauxaillon. and elsewhere there .has been cannonading.
Twenty-five German aeroplanes were indubitably, destroyed in air fighting from the Ist to the 7th of May. besides 51 which were crippled and fell in the German lines.
