A French comnmnique says: There is considerable artillery activity between the Somme and the Oise. The enemy counter-attacked east.of Vau 4xaillon and on the CLemin-des-Dames in the direction of Pantheon and Cerjiy.
Our fire .smashed all attempts.
An artillery struggle, occasionally violent, continues further east on the Vauclerc Plateau and in the" Craonne district. ..
Enemy attempts to recapture ground north-west of Rhehns, and south of Berry-au-Bac ended to our advantage.
We repulsed a strong attack on the crest of Teton, nortt.-east of Mont Haut.
