MOTUEKA CLUB

The annual meeting of-.the Moinoki Bowling dub was held in the Anglican Schoolroom on Monday evening (reports our correspondent). There wa?> a good attendance of members, and the president (Mr G. H-.--Budden) occupied the chair.

Percy; secretary, Mr Harry Manoy; treasurer, Mr J B. Jordan; committee, Messrs J. A. AVallace, C SkiJton. J. Boyoe, J. H. Rankin, F. Pidgebri, G. H. Buddin, T. J. Griffin, and S. U: Oana van-;',auditors,, Messrs Griffin and Wallah." Thirteen names were prb-posed-for the committee,, and the above/ were elected by ballot.

The following new members were elected: Messrs F. R .Hallam, Horatio Everett, W. Mclnnes, L. A. Boyes, A. Trevella, J. Scott, R. C. Stilwell, It. Craighead, and P. B. .Lomax. It was resolved that the official opening be held on Labour Day. It was decided to proceed with several club tournaments during the year.

Messrs Griffin, Lane, and Canavan wore elected a committe to take charge of the green. Mr T. J. Griffin was elected sole selector of teams for the season. Regarding the question submitted by the Nel&on Centre, vix., whether the Motueka Club was in favour of one or two feet on the mat, it was decided that the club give it as its opinion that one foot on the mat was preferable.

The question of erecting a shelter shed was left to the committee, with instructions that the work is to be proceeded with if possible.
