TRIBUTE TO THE DEAD

Wellington, Aug. 26. Before tho House of Representatives adjourned this evening, the Prime Minister paid a tribute io tho gallantry of our boys in the last fight at Gallipoli, and expressed sympathy, 'with the relatives of those who had fallen. The events of the last few days on the Gallipoli Peninsula had brought sorrow and mourning to many honies in the Dominion, said Mr Massey. Four members of the House of Representatives had been notified, among others, that sons or near relatives had fallen. "When we sent those, bright, patriotic, adventurous , sons away a few months ago," continued the Premier, 'we thought we were saying good-bye .to. everyday citizens.
