A NOVEL EXPERIENCE.
OF SHIP'S OFFICER IN FRANCE
Mr T. P. Harris, third officer of the Port Korabla. which arrived at Freinantl© last week, had a novel experience duriiiff the visit of his vessel to Havre. On Christmas Eve Mr Hams was walking" leisurely along the main street.of the French seaport,, when ho noticed several children armed with imitation swords and rifles^ playing, at soldiers. One of the youngsters spoke to him, and having- nothing- to do, ho joined in their game, offering to become a German, while the others, as the Allies, attacked him.
