The monthly meeting of the Riwaka Koad Board was held on the Ist inst. Present: The chairman '.Mr James Cook,!, Messrs T. Cook, T. Franklin, and E. W. James. Correspondence was leceived as follows: — . From the Receiver 0!' Land Revenue, NelsoTi., stating that the sum of £290 ]7s od, amount accrued from road halves, thirds, and fourths, was placed to tho Board's credit with the Bank of Isew Zealand Nelson, on March I9th. Firo Underwriters' Association, Wellington, forwarding clauses in detail, with regard to .storage of dangerous good^. Minister of Labour, notice as to^ statutory closing days under the Shops and Offices Act. 1908. Resolutions wfre passed as follows: That all accounts as presented be paid. Thaht tho chairman and Mr r. FranMin inspect the Marahau road, with power to act. That, with a "lew of continuing the Canaan track, the Board inspect the locality. , Cheques passed for payment totalled £6 5s •
