ROAD BOARDS

STOKE

The monthly meeting of the Stoke Road Board was held at Richmond on Saturday last. Present: Messrs J. E. Bartlolt' (chairman), H. T. Palmer, Thos. B. Ohisnall, A. P. Afiport, and D. Giblin.

The Overseer (Mr J. Glon) reported that- since the previous meeting in company with the members of the district he had visited ,Mr Dunn's section at Tahuna. Mi' Dunn was absent. On Eden'f-. road, Apple by, tho work of plougiung, harrowing, gravelling, and raking in ruts had been completed., Handrails had been erected at the culverts on Patoii'h, Jiu.'ch's, and Malcolm's reads, Hope. Repairs were m progress on Bell's, road, Appleby. Church'and Berxett's roads. Hope, refiuirnd patching and the road at^Hope School Corner required gravelling. A hour, a couplo of da.vs' work was necessary filling in ruts on Clover road, Appleby. " The report was aduptetl.
