James Hambleton, a gravedigger at St. Stephen's Church, Audenshaw, near Manchester, was getting out of a grave ho had just dug .the other morning when he slipped backwards into it and a large part of the gra\ el side fell on him. A conductor in a tramway-car saw his legs in the air and found him buried head foremost. When dug out Hambleton was dead.
