MR, F. W. FAIREY SCORES A CHAMPIONSHIP.

SECOND HONOURS IN FAT COW

CLASS

Mr. F. W. Fairey, of Nelson, received cable advice .yesterday that ho had secured championship honours at the Sydney Royal Shew in the fat bullock class and second place in the fat cow class. This is the third year in which Mr Fairey has exhibited at tho Sydvey show in these classes, and in the two previous occasions he succeeded ii^ gaining second places. Mr Fairey is to bo heartily congratulated npon his success in upholding the honour of New Zealand in competition with tho best stock of Australasia. Next year, if Mr Fairoy is an exhibitor, we hope to see . him carry off doublo championship honours in these classes. Mr. Fairey has received a telegram from the Hon. T. Mackenzie. Prime * Minister, and Minister of Agriculture, heartily congratulating him upon his success.
