Masterton, May 1. There has been a series of burglaries here. Since Saturday night three shops have been broken into and goods taken. In one ease the thief lowered himself through a skylight by a number of Baddle straps, and took knives 'and/razors: He brpke a. palate glass window oja ctfnfept'ioner's ishfiß and took between £1 and £3 worth of goods,- an<j ajsq entered a. draper's shop, but it is not known what quantity of goods was taken.
