The stewards of the Wairarapa Racing Club have written to General Godley stating that with a desire to show their sympathy with the defence training .scheme, they will grant the use of the ground and f umltur© i«) the miaj ta«fy camp free of charge: . During his visit to the camp on Saturday, His Excellency _ was greatly impressed by tho admirable manner in which the attack was delivered during the morning proceeding also- by the <s.marfc and efficient manner in which both .company and troop drill was performed m the.afternoon.
