Tho New Zealand amateur athleftic championship meeting took place in fine weather* The attendance was not mare than 1500-. Good contingents of competitors, werrt present frblh Southland^ Ofngoj Wellington, and Aucklaml. The fields in th.o uiiferent events were satisfactory. The mile flat handicap was the largest, in which sixteen started. Results :—

The gates totalled £110. Wellington retains the shield with 46 points Canterbury scored 34, Southland 15, Auckland 10, and Otago 7.
