DESTRUCTION OF BUSH.

The Chamber of Commerce this morning decided to send a protest to the Minister of the Tourist Department against the destruction of bush and fern scenery on the banks. of the Wauganui river. It is stated that Maoris and others are cutting down the bush, and not even sowing grass, but allowing noxious weeds to spread.
