The "Telegraph's" New York iX>rrespondent says that the American Bankers' Association has allocated £200,00 for a so-called campaign of education to defeat the proposed es- 1 tablishmcnt of postal savings banks. Mr Meyer, formerly PostmasterGeneral, believes that millions of. dollars now sent to Europe might be «e---tained if immigrants were convinced that the banks in America were safe.
