HOCKEY.
PROPOSED VISIT OF AN ENGLISH TEAM. [United Pbesb Association.] Christohuroh, Feb 2. At a meeting of the Canterbury Hockey Association a letter was received from the New Zealand Association, asking it to subscribe £100 to the proposed tour of the Dominion by an English team. After discussion the executive decided that the time was not opportune for the tour, and it could not entertain the proposal.
