jumps overboard from. a , STEAMER. .-;-.. Wellington, March 28. J A single man named James Flem^ ing, who was a saloon passenger, from Lyttelton by the s.s. Maori, jumped overboard as -the steamer was _ap-. proaching the Wellington wharf today. A. -boat was promptly lowered, arid. the body was found after a little; time, but life was extinct. Fleming was a clerk in the employment of the Bank of New Zealand, and he was being transferred from Waimate to Wellington.
