SUDDEN DEATH.
Dunedin, Feb. 26. A man named Albert Gooan, about 56 years of age. residing at Burnside, died suddenly to-night. He left Dunedin by train, and on arrival at Burnside he complained of feeling un ,well, and suddenly expired. Deceased had been under treatment at Dunedm Hospital for Jfeart disease, and only leit that institution to-day. A YOUNG MAN DROWNED. Wanganui, Feb. 26. George Gibbons, aged 22 years, whose parents reside in South Dunedin, was drowned in the river this morning Deceased was cook on the river steamer Mauuwai,and while that steamer was waiting at Tarakmo for the down boat he went m for a swim. -He evidently was seized with cramp, as he disappeared suddenly. The body was recovered, but hie was ex--1 tinct. . .
