S. Vinsen (Stratford), 79, 3. B flat bass : W. Penhall (Wanganui) 73, 1; G. Clayton (Gisborne) 66, 2.--Hughes (Nelson Garrison), with" 94 points, won the BB bass solo at the band contest to-day.
