The Loyal Nelson Good Temolar Lodge was fairly attended on Saturday evening, when Bro. .Vercoe presided. Two new members were enrolled, and several propositions for membership were received. Further arrangements were made for the entertainment to be given on Wednesday evening in aid of the Encounter disaster fund. The officers' reports showed tbe Lodge to be in a flourishing cpndition, the membership being seventy -three. l ßro. A. Donaldson ; Deputy Marshal, Sister Roberts ; Guard. Bro. Burt; Sentinel. Bro. Bouchier; Librarian and Assistant Secretary, Sister Bartlett. The Lodge r?solved to claim Lodge representation for the Grand Lodge, yifc was resolved to send hearty congratulations to Bro. E..H. Taylor, the Past Grand -O'bief -Tpmplar, on his winning the contest for the seat for the Thames iri the New Zealand Parliament. Bro. A. Karsten was nominated for the position of District Deputy, for which the election will take place next m-^nth. Hro. Rnrid was nominated for the position of Lodge Deputy for the ensuing twelve months.
