THE INQUEST.
An inquest was held afc the Courthouse yesterday afternoon into tho circumstances surrounding the death of Ellen Longden Minchin, which took place late on tho previous night, as stated above. Mr E. E. Trask, Deputy-Coroner, conducted tho inquiry, and the jury was as follows : — :E. Savage (foreman), W. W Snodgrass. F. Healy. T. W. Bradsh'aw, R. J. Lewis, and E. Grove. ' Evidence was given by Alexander Burnip, brother of the deceased ; May Burnip, sister ; W. A. Smith, City Engineer; Emily Beatrice Ogilvie; and Dr. Lncas. -
After a short retirement, the jury found a verdict that deceased met her death hy a revolver shot, selfinflicted, during a fit of impulsivo insanity.
