NELSON COLLEGE SPORTS.

! The annual sports in connection [ with the Nelson Boys' College took place at the College grounds on Saturday afternoon. Tho wcatfier was fine, and tih.ere was a large attendance of spectators. As usual, the fields were large, and the majority of the events were well contested. In the long jump, Newton put up a record for the College, jumping 20ft 7in. Tho senior cup was won by Usher, who secured 22 points (three arsis a second and a -third ), K. Smith being runner-up with '20 points.
