At present three centres each may send three delegates to tho District Association, of which body Mr W. A. Lightband is President, Mr Jaoka Vice-President. and Mr Izard Secretary. Dunog the year sodi9 200 leaflets had been distributed ainon? fruitgrowers, setting forth the benefits of membership. During the year the detection of San Jose scalo in the district caused considerable commotion, and two meetings were held to - discuss the matter, which was looked upon as serious, and in no way redoundmg to thß credit of the Inspectors of tne district. At the second of these meetings Mr Kirk was present by invitation and 80 growers met him.
