Mr Kruco Smith, M.P., suggests a consolidation of the Federal Opposition with fragments of fi a Federal House numbering 47, as an antisocialist force. Ho thinks this would put a stop to tne anomaly of a party of 27 administering public affairs He adds that if such a proposal were carried out the leader of the party should bo elected by.ballot. Melbourne, Nov. 19. J)r Silmon, a Deakinite, has announced his intention to break away from the party and sit in the Opposition corner.
