An open verdict was returned inthe Howth tragedy (Ireland), where it was alleged that two robbers threw two women o\er a oliif, owing to the widower stating that he believed that bis wife fell over tne cliff while attempting to prevent her sister, Mrs Earls (not her niece) from committing s'licide. Mrs Earls was found in?a fainting condition on tho edge of "the cliff. A doctor confirmed the widower's theory.
