Eltham, August 19. 3 The two and a halfyear old daugh- . ter of Mr George Martin, a settler . of Manga whero road, by Eltham, died suddenly on Saturday. An in- ' quest waa held to-day, When evij dence was given that the child ate Some German sausage that had been lying in a drawer for nearly a fortnight, and shortly afterwards became sick and vomited. Tbe parents started for town, but the child died . on the way.
