THE DISMISSED POSTAL OFFICIALS.
Chri&tchurch, February 13. The Mayor of Christchurch received to-day a reply from Sir Joseph G. Ward to his letter asking for the clemency of the Government in connection with the dismissal of the postal officials, as the outcome of the voucher affair. The Minister states that the case of the officials has been most carefully re-considered by the Cabinet, but after reviewing the whole matter and circumstances surrounding it, it was decided that the decision already arrived at was to be upheld. t i
