Dunedin, February 13. Mr D. Tarnock, Superintendent of Gardens and Reserves, has suggested to the local advisory committee in Connection with the Chrisfcchurch international Exhibition, that the Exhibition Commissioners should j set aside a portion of the Exhibition gardens, to be allotted amongsn the gardeners throughout the Colony for competitive designs in landscape gardening. The attractiveness of the grounds could thus be greatly enhnnced at a nominal cost.
