A CANADIAN SEALING VESSEL.
Received^May IS, 9.25 p.m. : Ottawa, May 18. "Canada is appealing against the confiscation of the sealer Agnes ' Donahoo off Uruguay. Sir Wilfred Laurier declares that the seizure was made on the high seas, and was therfore illegal. The captain was sentenced to three years' penal servitude, the mates to one year, mid the crew to six months.
