Napier, January 6. The Hawke's Bay Jockey Club's Summer meeting was concluded today, the weather being fine, and the attendance large. The sum of £4170 was put through the totaliaator, an increase of £303 on last year's figures. The results were: — Grand Stand Handicap: West Guard 1, Assayer 2, Tattle 3. Won by half a length. Dividends, £2 Is and £2 4s. Scurry Hack Handicap: Eepulse 1, Merry Kate 2, Wild Cat 3. Won easily. Dividends, £2 4s and 17s. Summer Handicap: Seraphine 1, Freeland 2, Gold Dust 3. Won by a head. Dividends, £7 3s and £2 13s. Nursery Handicap : Polyanthus 1, Mystification 2, Cornelian 3. Won by two lengths. Dhidend, £2 Bs. Epsom Handicap : Louisa 1, Defoe 2, Modesty 3. Won easily. Dividends, £1 13s and 18s. . : Second Hack Handicap : Horatio 1, Anadeja 2, Spoil 3. Won by a length. Dividends, £2 19a and £14 2a. January Handicap : Taura 1, Tattle 2, Valima 3. Only starters; won by a head. Dividend, £2 17s.
