Napier, January 6. At the inquest on Miss Elizabeth Connor, one of the victims of the Petane river drowning fatality, a verdict of accidentally drowned was returned^ with a rider that no blame was attachable to anyone. The bodies of the other two victims have not yet been recovered. Dunedin, January 6. <; The bankruptcies in Dunedin for the year numbered 14, the liabilities being £4328, and the assets £2171. The dividends paid amounted to £1193.
