WRECK OF A SCOW.

Auckland, January 4. -The scow Waitemata has been totally wrecked on a reef off Matair pouri bay, on the northern coast. ■i The vessel was loaded with logs for Auckland, and came out of the bay with a fair wind, which suddenly dropped to a calm, when one anchor was let go, but the cable parted, and then a second one was dropped, but the cable also parted. A kedge was S got out, but the scow was carried by the strong tide on to the reef, where ° she broke up inside of an hour.
