The circuit sittings of the Supreme Court will commence here on Wednesday, 11th inst., at 10.30 a.m., his Honor the Chief Justice probably being the judge. The 'criminal business so far consists of the theft of a cash box against Bertie Freeman Croker Stewart; charge of setting fire^to a house 'in Gibbs' Valley, Wakefield, against two lads, Oliver Campbell Gibbs and Leonard Edward Fulkner; and Francis Binniag Gay, who has pleaded guilty to a charge of theft from a dwelling, will come up for sentence. The following civil actions have been set down for hearing, but there is time yet for others to be filed if forthcoming: — George Heory Allan, of Colhngwood, v. Francis C. Richardson, of the same place. Claim £516 3s, as damages for malicious prosecution, arising out of the -Collingwood County Council election. Mr Harley for plaintiff, Mr A. T. Maginnity for defendant. Case to be heard by judge and jury. J. T. Veysey, schoolmaster, of Foxhill, r. Frederick George Mace, now of Wellington. Claim £501, as damages for assault.
