NEW STEAMER FOR NELSON.

Mr Burford's new steamer for the Nelson and Golden Bay trade ha3^been re-named the Tasman, the first chosen (Wangarona) having been^foand unsuitable The fitting ap of the vessel is practically completed, but an accident in the engine room has caused delay. A few more days, however, will see the steamer completed and ready for sea, The time taken up by the delay has notbesn entirely lost, as Mr Barford has taken advantage of this opportunity to have the forehold insulated, thus providing cool carriage for fruit and dry produce.
