PHYSICAL EXHIBITION BY MISS CATLEY'S CLASS.

The members of Miss Catley's Gymnasium Class to the number of forty-eight, gave their Bnnual exhibition Bt the Provincial Hall on Sept. llth. Despite the faot that tickets of admission were limited, the at'enda n ee was so large that many foond diffioulty in viewing the various exeroises. Tbe exhibition oame last year as quite a novelty, and tho?e then present were quite enthusiastio regarding it. Many thiß year saw tbe exerciser for tbe first time, and were equally enthusiastic, wbile tbose who were present at the previous exhibition had the pleasure of reviving a pleasant recollection, added to a present enjoyment. The marching was done singly, m pairs, fours, eights, and tbere were a large numbtr of mazy eerrent.De evolution?, all of wbich were very pietty. and a word of Bpec al praise is due to the little one wbo generally led tbe files, and always unerringly, lhe dumb bells and pole exeroises, and tbe junior and senior clubs exeroises, were all done in Bplendid fathior, the o.ubs exercise of tbe seniors ral'.i'g for special mention. In the ekippiog and running exercises very muoh the same evolutions were gone through ts in the marobkg. Oce item in tbe latter, whioh we had almost forgotten to mention, and whioh called forth loud applause was the forming of crescents acd a Bix-rayed star. Eaoh item was applauded, and the ene opinion expressed was tbat a deligh'ful evening had been Bpent. All ths exeroises were given under the direotion of Miss Catley, and were accompanied by Mra Greenfield on the piano. A very pretty finale was made when tbe olaes formed eights and sang God Save tbe Queen. The pupils then applauded tbeir teacher, and some time was epent by tbi m after the Bpeoat jrs had dispersed in games, &0., an d reresbments were provided.
