j The annual general meeting of this Club was beid on Sept. 24, at the Coaoh and Ho_3es Hotel, when Mr Chisholm, the Presi- ' deDt of the Olub, presided. There w-ia a I large attendance of members. ! Mr Geo. Dee, tbe Seoretary, r j ad the minutes, wbich were confirmed, and a report, I together witb the balanoe Bheet, was alßo ' submitted. The balanoe eheet displayed a substantial balanoe to credit. The Club was entirely lree from debt. The report and balance sheet were unanimously adopted. The election of officers resulted ai follows : — Patron, John Graham, M.H.8., ; President, Mr W. W. Chisholm ; Vice-Presidents, Meßsrs E. Finney, D. Andrews, W. Look, E. Atmore (re-eleoted), and Mr C. Bird. Captain, Mr R. Stiles ; bon. Secretary and Treasurer, Mr G. Dee ; Management Committee, Messrs □order. J. Blincoe, D. Graham, W. A. Dae, C. Graham, and C. Gibson ; Match Committee, Messrs R. Stiles, 0. Graham, L. Graham, C. Gibson, J. Lipsoombe ; Delegate to Crioket Association, Messrs B. Stiles and J. Corder. It waa unanimously resolved that the Club's delegates to tbe Association be asked to mpport any motion whioh might bring about an alteration in the present eyetem of championship matches. The feeling of the meeting was that whole day matches with country olubs, wbioh would bind members to play upon every holiday, were not desirable. Messrs J. Chisnall, C. Lewis. C. Gibson, and A. Penney were elected members, and 10 others were spoken of. A hearty vota of thanks was passed to Mr C. Graham for a generous offer to present a roller to the Club. It was reßolved to open the season with a praotice matoh on Satnrday next The trophies were tben presented to the successful winnsrs mentioned in the report The President, in making the presentations, referred in complimentary terms to the reoipients and their performances. The winners in each instance euitably replied. tor C. Gibson here gave some excellent counsel to tbe members bearing upon toe forthcoming season, and bis remarks were reoeived with muoh approbation. Six trophies were offered to tbe Club for competition during tbe present season, and a very hearty vote of thanka waa accorded ihe donors of last year. A vote of thanks to the Chairman for presiding, and his efforts on behalf of the Club, was oarried by acclamation.
