At the Supreme Court to-day George James Bruce was acquitted on the charge of perjury in the evidence given by him before the Licensing Committee at the hearing of Coker's Hotel case.
Wellington, August 14,
In the Supreme Court Williem Smith pleaded guilty to obtaining m ney by fal-e pretences, and was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment. Percy Flank wa« convicted of receiving stolen property, but sentence was deferred.
