Mr Robert Taylor, of Rata Street, is on holiday, and is visiting Wiaihi prior to going to Auckland.
Mr and Mrs H. A. Mlaxted and family left last week to spend a holiday at Mt. Maunganui.
Mr R. Hunt, secretary to No. 1 Transport Licensing Authority, was a guest at Te Awamutu Hotel last Wednesday.
B. T. Moisley, a pupil of the Te Awamutu College, was among the successful pupils who passed the School Leaving Certificate.
Miss McGuire, stenographer on the staff of No. 1 Transport Licensing Authority, was a guest at Te Awamutu Hotel on Wednesday.
Rev. Stephen R. Wareing, a former vicar of St. John’s Church and who is now resident in England, is visiting the Waikato.
MV E. J. Phelan, of Auckland, who presided at the sitting of No. 1 Transport Licensing Authority, was, during his stay in Te Awamutu, a guest at Te Awamutu Hotel.
Mils A. E. Hubbard, of Hamilton, and her daughter, Mrs Grace Hawken, wh6 have been visiting relatives and other friends in Te Awamutu, returned home yesterday morning.
Mr T. G. Burchell has returned from Victoria, where he attended the Pan-South Pacific Boy Scout Jamboree. Mr Burchell will leave tonight to attend a Soout camp at Levin, at which Lord Rowallan, Chief Scout for the British Empire, will be present.
The Rev. F. A. Saunders, of St John’s, Te Awamutu, who was recently raised to the priesthood by the Right Rev. C. A. Chenington, at an ordination service at St Peter’s Cathedral, is to remain at Te Awamutu. Messrs W. A. Garroway and C. L. Oliver, who were ordained as deacons, have been appointed respectively to St Peter’s Cathedral and Huntly.
