LATE REV. D. D. SCOTT
FUNERAL IN ONEHUNGA TRIBUTES PAID TO OUTSTANDING CHURCH LEADER Last tributes to the memory of the Very Rev. D. D. Scott, who died last Friday, were paid by a crowded congregation in the Onehunga Presbyterian Church on Monday afternoon. The Waikato Presbytery was represented by the Moderator Rev. S. R. Wishart and several members. The first portion of the service was taken by the Rev. A. J. H. Dow, at present minister at Onehunga. A biographical sketch was given by Rev. T. H. Roseveare, and the concluding portion of the service was conducted by the Rev. D. N. Pryor, moderator of the Auckland Presbytery. Pallbearers were representatives of the Auckland Presbytery at the Onehunga and Mount Albert Presbyterian Churches. A brief service at the crematorium was conducted by the Very Rev. J. W. McKenzie. Sympathy of Waikato Presbytery At yesterday’s meeting of the Waikato Presbytery held in Te Awamutu, tributes were paid to the outstanding services rendered to the church by the late Mr Scott and the great loss that the church had sustained. Appropriate resolutions of sympathy w with the relatives and appreciation* of Mr Scott’s services were passed.
