Britain and Butter
A male questioner asked Mrs Ross at the close of her address on Friday afternoon if Britain had taken ah New Zealand’s butter. Mrs Ross in her reply said that no doubt the questioner had in mind the recent shipment of a consignment to America, and if so Mrs Ross said she thought that Britain had made that sale under duress. America in turn strangely enough sent fats to Britain.
