ON HOLIDAY
KAWHIA ROAD SETTLERS Amidst the excitement and preparation for their impending return to England on holiday after some’ -30 years in New Zealand. Mr and Mrs Hill were entertained in their own home on the Kawhia Road to afternoon tea, when they were presented by their many friends with a leather week-end bag for Mrs Hill and a gentleman’s comlpanion for Mr Hill. In thanking* the people for the gift and good wishes Mrs Hill recalled numerous reminiscences of their early life at Home, to which Mr Hill aptly added with his usual bright wit. When these highly respected neighbours sailed on the Rangitiki on the 14th of August they took with them the good wishes of the whole district*
