ALBERT PARK
NEW MEN’S CONVENIENCE RECOMMENDATION TO FINANCE COMMITTEE A recommendation to the finance committee of the Borough Council, that they favourably consider the proposal to erect a men’s convenience at Albert Park at a cost of £260, was carried by the Domain Board on Monday. The chairman, Mr G. Spinley, said that vlhilei the question of cost entered into it the convenience had to be sufficiently large to cater for the increasing number of people who attended at Albert Park. The foreman, Mr R. H- Close, thought it would be a mistake for the council to scrimp things. The larger crowds using Albert Park warranted an adequate convenience. The clerk said the Domain Board could not afford it and the money would have to be found by the Borough Council. The recommendation as outlined above was then carried.
