The Manawatu Times, in writing of Rubini’s appearance in Palmerston North said: Those who were privileged to hear Jan Rubini, world famous violinist, sat enthralled with the magic of a great artist. It would not matter what master Rubini played, he would make it a poem by his artistry and amazing gifts. With his accompanist, Vassili Uster, excellent accompanist and briliant pianist, they are a fine pair and should be enthusiastically greeted by New! Zealand music lovers wherever they appear.
