TOKANUI CROSSROADS BRANCH The Tokanui Crossroads branch of the Red Cross held a most successful garden party at the residence of Mr and Mrs A. Stewart, Te Kawa, in aid of the branch funds. The weather was most favourable. A bring and buy stall, laden with articles of v? Wans kinds, did good business, as did also an ice cream and drink stall. Games and competitions were in full swing, and altogether a most successful day for the benefit of Red Cross was the result. Results of competitions and raffles were as follows:—Silk stockings, Mrs Telfer; box of groceries, Mrs Williams; cake (fruit), Mrs J. Brown; games, putting, Mrs J. Mclntyre; flowers, Mrs Smith; treasure hunt, Miss L. Gane; quoits, Mr S. Wyllie.
