EARTHOUAKE DISTRESS
RED CROSS DONATIONS TE AWAMUTU FORWARDS £25 At the annual meeting of the Waikato centre of the New Zealand Red Cross Society in Hamilton on Tuesday, approval was given for the donation of £5O for the relief of earthquake suffering in Wairarapa, £25 to the Waikato R.S.A. for hospital visiting of ex-servicemen of the last war, and the provision of credit up to £5O to augment under-standard mext-of-kin prisoner of war parcels. A sum of £25 from Te Awamutu was forwarded to the Disaster Relief Fund, Wellington, while a grant of £5O was made to the Hamilton sub-centre for soldier patient visiting at the Waikato Hospital.
