VOLUNTARY AIDS
TE AWAMUTU DETACHMENT ANNUAL MEETING The first annual meeting of the Voluntary Aid Detachment was held on Monday night last in the Red Cross depot, the Commandant, Mrs Graham Macky, presiding. A letter of resignation was read from the Lady Superintendent, Nurse G. Flamank, and it was received with regret. Officers for the incoming season were elected as follows: . Commandant: Mrs Graham Macky (re-elected). Assistant Commandant: Mrs A. J. Tailby (re-elected). Section Leaders: Miss H. Garvey (re-elected, who becomes head section leader) and Miss Sereta Parr. Quartermaster: Miss Rose Bonner. Secretary: Mrs H. Thompson (reelected). At the conclusion of this meeting, Mrs A. J. Tailby asked the Commandant to accept a posy of flowers as a mark of appreciation for her untiring efforts on behalf of the detachment throughout the past year.
