PLUNKET SOCIETY
TE AWAMUTU BRANCH The monthly meeting of the Te Awamutu branch was held in the Borough Council Chambers on Monday last. The President, Mrs H. A. Swarbrick, was in the chair, and the following ladies were present:—Nurse Davey, Mesdames H. Cole, A. O. Gibbs, O. O’Brien, J. C. Self, R. Judd and G. A. Gibbs. Apologies were received from Mesdames N. L. Goodall, W. G. S. Smith and G. Warring. The President expressed appreciation of the splendid response of the public to the annual appeal for funds. Nurse McLeod and Nurse Davey were appointed representatives of the Plunket Aids on the committee of Evacuation and Accommodation.
The Nurse’s report showed: 39 new cases; 18 visits to homes; visits to rooms: Adults 247, babies 233 and older children 70; box donations £3 4s 7d.
