PLUNKET SOCIETY
MONTHLY MEETING. The usual monthly meeting of the Te Awamutu branch of the Plunket Society was held in the Borough Council Chambers on Monday afternoon. Mrs Swarbrick presided over a good attendance of members. Apologies were received from Mesdamts N. Goodall, G. Connal, S. Beedell and A. V. Cole. Routine business was transacted. Mrs Connal wrote resigning her position on’ the committee owing to her removal to Palmerston North. Members expressed sincere appreciation of the services which Mrs Connal had rendered to the society, and accepted her resignation with regret. The nurse’s report was adopted as follows: New cases 41, visits to homes 42, visits to rooms, adults 230, babies 204, older children 46,; total 480. Telephone calls 51, babies under supervision 296, older children 94. The box donations amounted to £3.
