MEDICAL AID
THE KAWHIA ASSOCIATION. The secretary of the Kawhia County Medical Association, Mr J. N. Culley, reported at the annual meeting of the association that, he had interviewed the acting Minister of Native Affairs, the Hon. F. Langstone, during his recent visit to Kawhia. He had requested a donation from the department to the funds of the association, as a large percentage of those in the district were Maoris. Mr Langstone had replied that he was not in a position to recommend a donation by the department, but suggested that the difficulty would be overcome when the national t health and superannuation scheme was introduced. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr D. S. Morris; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr J. N. Culley; committee, Mr M. Gilbert, Mr W. Turner, Mrs W. W. Davies, Mrs J. Schultz.
