ST. JOHN’S GIRLS’ CLUB
ANNUAL MEETING HELD. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The annual general meeting- of St. John’s Girls’ Club was held on Tuesday evening, the president, Mrs. M. G. Sullivan, presiding over a fair attendance of members —considering the prevailing bad weather. The report on the past year’s activities of the club disclosed a successful year, with keen interest maintained throughout the Term. A contribution had been made, of £5, to the vestry of St. John’s for the window fund, and there was still a small credit balance. The election ot officers for the new term resulted: President, Mrs Sulliivan, re-elected; vice-presidents, Mrs B. F. Morris, Mrs Teasdale, and the Misses S. Empson, H. Focke and L. Finch; secretary, Miss D. Jeffery; treasurer, Miss L. Cruickshank; committee, the Misses P. North, G. Ryburn, N. Old, G. Garvey, A. Gifford, R. Fussell and S. Parr. One new member was elected. It was decided to make a donation of £5 towards the cost of re-painting the Parish Hall. Arrangements were made to meet fortnightly, from May 16th, and some time was devoted to discussing the year’s programme. Last year’s oflicers were accorded a very hearty vote of thanks for their services.
